The 2000 Pendle Borough Council election took place on 4 May 2000 to elect members of Pendle Borough Council in Lancashire, England. One third of the council was up for election and the council stayed under no overall control. After the election, the composition of the council was *Labour 24 *Liberal Democrat 18 *Conservative 9 ==Background== Before the election, the Liberal Democrats held 23 seats, compared to 19 for Labour and 8 Conservatives, while one seat was vacant.
